Built from an urgent clinical need, refined through everyday use.

The origin

Necessity became a working system.

During the second COVID-19 wave, moving case sheets between wards became impractical. What started in Google Sheets evolved over three years into SIGMA—the Sundaram Inpatient Glycemia Management App—and then into the commercial Glyzemia platform.

2021A shared-sheet workflow addresses an immediate ward problem.
May 2024SIGMA begins structured application-based use.
TodayGlyzemia carries the workflow into a broader hospital platform.

How it works

A closed loop from bedside data to confirmed treatment.

Every step is visible, role-specific, and grounded in the patient's recent response.

01

Nurse entry

CBG and current clinical context are entered at the point of care.

02

Remote review

The doctor reviews recent trends and clinical context from wherever they are, and advises appropriate insulin dose for the patient.

03

Treatment

The nurse sees and administers the prescribed insulin advice.

04

Confirmation

The advice is marked as followed, closing the workflow loop.

Product in practice

Recent context, without the hunt.

Clinicians can review the factors that matter—CBG history, feeding, steroids, inotropes, current therapy, HbA1c, and recent insulin response—within a consistent patient view.
